You sign up with your credit details, but have use of the service free of charge for a limited period. If you decide it is not for you, all you have to do is remember to opt out of the service at the end of your trial period before your card is charged. However, monthly rates are very reasonable! Perfect for the visually impaired, the housebound or disabled, or even just very busy people. Unfortunately so far only available in the US.
